The security of operating systems for mobile devices

This term paper explains the concepts related to security of mobile devices. The first chapter acquainted with how to develop mobile operating systems and what types are found on the market today. Then the work explains the basic types of attacks and security vulnerabilities. Further work is discussed in the most famous and most popular operating systems, from their basic descriptions, architecture, and then security. In the eighth chapter of this work is a basic description and explanation of the function code itself created by malicious applications. The chapter contains weaknesses of the Android operating system used by the application, opportunities spread of malware and protect against possible attack. In the last chapter is contained laboratory task that acquaints students with the Android operating system and focuses on knowledge inappropriately protocols used to communicate with the Internet applications.
Windows Phone 7 Application for Traffic Sign Recognition

Purpose of this thesis is to create an application that detects and recognizes traffic signs for mobile phones running Windows Phone 7 operating system. Theoretical part contains information about history and characteristics of Windows Phone 7 system, traffic signs in Czech Republic and various methods of image processing. Practical part of this thesis describes particular implementation of recognizing of traffic signs in photographs taken with mobile phone built-in camera. In last part this app is tested in real-life conditions and results of these tests are evaluated.

This work deals with design and realization an application for devices running WP7, which allows the collection of information about the user's location and evaluate the most frequently visited places. These points can be stored in phone memory and then displayed on the interactive maps available in the application. The theoretical part deals with localization using GPS and GSM. Also describes a grouping methods and methods for determining the distance between two GPS points. The practical part deals with implementation and application functionality.

Thesis describes programming of 3D applications, mainly games, on Windows Phone 7 platform and lightly compares this approach with Silverlight platform. It also describes XNA framework in detail and programming plane simulators problems. In the second part of this thesis, reader can find complete description of implementation of a simple airplane simulation for Windows Phone 7 platform, which is based on the XNA framework. The game consists of implementation of terrain, sky, plane, scene and also of physics and the principle of the game.
GTD for Windows Phone 7

This thesis deals with a Getting Things Done method (GTD) and its implementation on a mobile device with Windows Phone 7. In the first part the GTD method and the Windows Phone 7 operating system are described. Thereafter the charts of use and questionnaires are introduced from which an application design has come. The thesis continues with a description of the implementation part and finishes with a conclusion.

The application is very easy to use and uses built-in modules of advanced mobile phones, such as high resolution camera and the accelerometer. This thesis describes the main features of Windows Phone 7 platform, analysis of competing solutions, application concept and its implementation. Furthermore, this work describes the solution of various problems in the development and also provides examples of methods and tools. Finally, there is also a list of used libraries.
